all TLDs have two letters or more, so, I don't know if it's technically possible to "cut" them, but, if it is, my suggestion is to cut these TLDs this way:
.a for .asia
.b for .biz
.c for .com
.e for .edu
.g for .gov
.i for .info
.m for .mobi
.n for .net
.o for .org
.t for .tel
