I'd be surprised if Ron Paul bought it. He is notoriously frugal.

However, I could see his supporters buying it.

Don't get me wrong, it would be a very smart buy for him and his campaign.

I think with the online popularity of ron paul (with or without the 2008) he's already miles ahead of the competition.

What would he achieve by buying this domain?

The cost of re-inventing the wheel might be less than worth it in this particular case at least, imho.

What would he achieve by buying this domain?

This domain likely gets a lot of typo traffic. Alexa on it is pretty big (187K).

He should buy it, to make sure he gets every potential voter to the right site...

Add to that, the 630 backlinks the domain has obtained. It is a small price to pay.

He should pick it up and redirect it to RonPaul2008.com

if the Republicans win, this is one guy I would like to see in the office. Makes some very very valid points about Iraq

Actually, it might be bought by a "third party" of another campaign where it can be turned off.

Nawww. They would never do that.

Wouldn't this be a trademark issue if he wanted to get it? Or no

25k is a bargain. Hopefully it ends up in Ron Paul's hands.
