Today the Dutch webmag webwereld.nl published the sale of printer.com for $800,000.

(in Dutch) http://webwereld.nl/ref/rss/52452

Printer.com was purchased through Sedo by a Dutch startup that spent half of its funds on it. The company is not yet reveiling its exact plans with the domain name but the site will go live on September 2.

There was a hint on the buyers website (http://treasuron.com/), but they removed it.
Until a few hours ago the printer.com logo had the following line of text below it :

"Find Printer, Compare Costs"

According to whois history records, Anything.com was the owner for quite a few years.
Maxperian International BV and Treasuron Domains BV are both from The Netherlands.
The domain Treasuron.com has been registered on 2008-05-16. That's almost the same date where they appear as the new owners of Printer.com. Maybe they have created the new company just to develop this domain.

Or until they blow the other half of their funding and have to liquidate the name here.

Good example of a well developed domain.

The tag says: "Zoek hier de printer die bij u past en vergelijk prijzen inclusief de kosten van de cartridges!" Meaning:" Search here for the printer that suits you best and compare prices including cartridge costs".

It will be available in English in the future and their aim is to make the printer market more transparent globally.
