Hello folks,

What do you think prom.org might be worth - reseller / retail values? Overture showed 41,000 hits for "prom" last month.

Thanks

Don't bother with an evaluation. Seems like there are major problems with trying to registered expired .org domain names today, related to the transfer of ownership of the TLD itself this weekend. Some registrars are showing certain domains as being available, when in fact they're not [well, more so than usual :) ].

So, my registration did NOT go through, and prom.org has NOT yet expired [nor has juice.org, another one I thought I had!].

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I'll bet y'all have been through this game before, right?!

there's no real value to .org's at least for commercial development

ever read icann's rules for .org?

if they ever wanted to crack down on .org use all commercial sites would lose their names

so .org give it away

donate it

now, there is some limited value to .org's that can be used for say a rant site

in that case it could have a limited value

if you can't use it to make money WHO CARES

no commercial upside no real value other than a token vanity value

I don't care how much traffic a .org gets, if it isn't developed there are almost no type ins

so a new .org has really no value whatsoever

if you can get a dirty word in .org get it

other than that

yawn
