After emailing GoDaddy a million times, they say, I will get the names back. My account is reinstated. Issue resolved, but done with GoDaddy.

That's weird. I've never had issues using promo codes, but then again I don't register 50 domains with them.

Off various forums.... Oh well, things happen.. Just wanted to give a heads up to people. I re-registered some of the names at Dynadot/Name.com and the rest GoDaddy kept, I guess to auction....

Issue resolved.

Lesson Learned here: Don't use GoDaddy just to save a few bucks. Find a solid registrar and stick with em....

That's BS. They have to have a system in place to see if that code has been redeemed on your account or not.

I'm slowly switching to Uni because the slick UI and privacy included, but it's a flat $12.88 for a .com. Small price to pay for what they have to offer over all other registrars I believe. Everyone else makes you take 30 minutes of your damn time to just update a nameserver.

Well, they do, but when you have 100 versions of the same promo it does not matter :) The problem was I created a second account, which was for a legitimate reason, not to abuse promo codes.

But, yeah man, I like Uni too, it's ultra slick. I'm going to Name.com and Dynadot though. But, I registered several new gTld's at Uni, but the .com prices just too high for me, because I hand reg a lot of names, a lot purely just for speculation to see what they will do in parking, etc...

I handreg too and find Name.com/Dyna about like $1 cheaper since I add privacy. I'd factor that expense into ease of use and reliability.

Yeah, I add privacy a lot too and Name.com always has a free privacy promo, so always flat reg fee, $10.99 and Dynadot it is only $2, so $8.75 + $2 = $10.75. Saving $2 compared to Uni which adds up. But, hands down, Uni is the best place to reg new gTLD's
