I'm pretty sure I have just broken some kind of a world record. I just received a cease and desist letter from the American Red Cross, for promoting the American Red Cross. I was giving away little free American Red Cross graphics on one of my websites [completely unaltered logos]. They didn't like that...

What a bizarre world we live in...

Complaint will have probably originated from their PR/marketing company thinking your muscling in on their action.

It's what happens when lawyers suck blood from huge charity organizations. They have to create a fake atmosphere of hostility towards the Red Cross "brand", so that they can continue to carve out low to mid six figures annually. One of the many great things thoroughly wrong with the world we live in.

I was digging around a bit, and it seems that the Red Cross is as legally aggressive and hostile as Microsoft... one more reason to never donate to the greedy bastards again. **** em, behave like a corporation, get treated like one.
