Protecting your domains

With all the stolen domain names, and the poor security at Network Solutions.. are there any good ways to protect your domains from the thief or thiefs ?

I guess everyone needs to transfer all domains away from NetSol ASAP. Regardless of expiration dates. Some people still have domains at NetSol

Also, eliminate free web-based e-mails from your domains contacts. Place domains on registrar-lock. Change your passwords and never use one passwod\rds in different places..

What else? More oppinions appreciated!
