Some of you may or may not know, Escorts.com was taken away by the US DOJ under laundering and racketeering. I get that, but what I don't get is how or the actual reason. Here is the article: http://dannosblog.com/2011/11/01/escorts-com-business-is-no-more-guilty-pleas-entered-today/
Apparently, the site was charging for subscriptions to the end-user and also charging for advertising to the escorts/prostitutes...I don't get how that is laundering? It was said they were aiding and abetting travel to these services...huh? Maybe I am missing something, but If I was a user and I found someone for such services I would pay my subscription and contact them directly...unless of course the combo of subscription and advertising payments is considered illegal? I just don't understand where the illegal part is...? The reason I am asking is that I have an escort related domain that I wanted to develop, but I want to be clear on what is ok so I don't get myself in a mess...
