Question regarding Animal Names / Breeds

I have come across a situation where a specific breed of an animal is available as a .COM, but the generic animal is long gone.

Example:

Dogs.com is taken

However, Some breed of dog might be available as the .COM, such as BassetHound.com, BlackLab.com, or BostonTerrier.com.

In general, do you think the specific breed is worthwhile to register?

I think it would be good to get it, especially if its a popular breed - dog-lovers form a huge target sales pool.
