I found some one word .ws names wondering if I should get them. All other tlds and cctlds are taking except .ws

Depends on the words and if you intend to develop them. Unless they're names like mp3.ws, I doubt they'll be sellable.

But if you grab a good one and develop it, it'll help in searchengine rankings and within a year or so you could have decent traffic to it.
