I am building a real estate website that will be my personal "agent" page.

I have the domain for the main site. But here is my question, for brandability I have city specific domains, and I want to know if it would be better to setup subdomains on the main site for each city with its own page based off the main page, then forward the city specific domain to the relavent subdomain. This way when I market or I am working a client in a particular city, I can use the city specific domain.

But, would doing this cause negative search engine results etc?

No negative se results. SE's treat subdomains as separate unique domains. So each city sub-domain will be treated as an individual website. The advantage of this is you can promote a single brand name tailored to local markets. You can also make sub-directories redirect to the sub-domain: ie. myrealtysite.com/cityname then redirects to cityname.myrealtysite.com

Ok, I was worried that haveing 12 different domains forwarding to differnt subdomains of my main page might cause issues of some sort.

Would buying high page rank one way links be a good idea? I want to get a close to the first page on SE's as possible.

You have to be very careful how and where you buy links. Rank alone is not enough. Google wants to see a genuine recommendation from the incoming link page. Links that are inside a blog post or an article are best.

One of the best ways is to submit articles and guest blog posts to article directories, quality sites, and blogs. You will build yourself up and your website as an authority on real estate.

Would adding RSS feeds from the area help in the process?

I've decided to go with a wordpress based site. I've got my hosting setup, and my subdomains. When I install wordpress how will I go about incorporating it with all the subdomains?
