i was pondering numeric domains today and i thought of this question. since one of the points about the validation and justification for numeric domains is that they numbers can spell words on your phone pad, .. i got to thinking that all but the most basic phones will soon have qwerty keypads, so why would typing in the number that spells a domain be a valid part of the argument for numeric domains?
i'm not saying they dont have value. i think they have great value. but i see people saying things like 72789 spells PARTY. while i think the 5N.com does have value, there should be little to no justification based on what it spells on a phone. all mobile devices are getting more integrated to the point that anyone using them to access the web will most certainly have qwerty keypads to do so. the point is a red herring
