Here is the list again, with Alexa stats. The total list is 600+ names.

I used Alexa to try and sort it. There will be some mistakes in the list but I did not have the time to go through it in some detail.

My basic point is that if every domainer said "all the drops are junk" - well, this is just not the position. Not saying these are golddust, but surely VidPlanet.com, CheapDecor.com and jewelerymall.com are ok.

If you like the general gist please visit http://www.domain-names-for-sale-e.com/jack.html .

Not really. Jewelerymall is spelled wrong - the word is spelled jewelry.

As a music/video retailer myself, I do not find VidPlanet interesting at all. Vid is not a commonly used abbreviation for Video (which is already short enough). It would be like abbreviating MusicStore as MusStore.

CheapDecor also remains unregged for a reason. Who wants to have someone come in their home and say, "My, what cheap looking decor you have!".

Duke is right--it's like looking for a needle in a haystack--but I have found a few needles in the past.

Regardless of the quality of the names--a big thumbs up to domainer111 for posting them. He is making an effort to help the community--and participate--and I appreciate it.

Keep the lists coming domainer111.

Thank you NamePopper and Duke - much appreciated!

Now...I agree with you generally on your posts with the exception of VidPlanet. There was actually a couple of names taken by me, and five or six names were taken off the list before I posted here.

Let's have a little look at jewelerymall.com.

Okay - we have no problems with jewelrymall.com in the Overture suggestion box - nice hits.

Now let's look at the main terms:

jewelry.com - 2000
jewelery.com - 200
jewelrymall.com - 56

I would say jewelerymall.com will get a few hits. Not many - but a few. Maybe 10 times as less as jewelrymall.com. We have Alexa as a cross reference indicating a few hits.

I know jeweleryexhange.com does well for that domainer.

But what happens if you sell some diamonds off these few clicks? Quite a nice commission!

Just thinking about it, if this name is unregged in the next 24 hours, I will take it myself and put my money where my mouth is.

=========

Same with CheapDecor.com - you sell some furniture, you might make some nice commissions.

Hope this helps,
domainer111

Have you checked what it costs to ship furniture? I don't think it would still be "cheap" when that is added on. Some things don't translate well to the internet (same thing with 40-pound bags of dog food which was the brilliant idea another now bankrupt internet business was based on).

Well, have you thought maybe someone wants "cheap decor" for a load of night clubs and are not to bothered about delivery i.e. they may not be for domestic purposes.

Also I have to disagree with you when you say furniture is a loser on the Net. I don't think http://www.roomstogo.com are going bust just yet.

Best Regards,

Rooms to Go is not an internet company. Their site promotes their furniture showrooms around the country. *comment removed*

Sorry, Domainer111...I am not being critical. Just pointing out the negative side to consider with regard to these names. I wasted a lot of money on bad registrations before some of the guys here wised me up!

Also remember anything I say is just one opinion. If you believe in any idea you have - then go for it. The worst that can happen is you are out a reg fee and some of your time. However, what many of us discovered through experience was that if you don't give your ideas a lot of thought, before long you are out a lot of reg fees and that starts adding up to some real money.

I once registered FriendlyPenis.com

I thought I would make an online comic about a free-standing penis that went around cheering everybody up--and making jokes. He would have been the life of the party. :D

True story. I just never got around to developing it.

One more thing to consider if you would like to save some money Domainer111.

If VidPlanet.com is really a good name why is it still unregistered now that you have made its availability known?

There are 1200 members here including some of the sharpest guys in the domain business. If it was really a good name don't you think at least one of these guys would have run out and registered it by now? None of them wants it for even $8. That should speak volumes about its resale value (which I also think is non-existant).

VideoPlanet would be good. VidPlanet not so hot. MusicPlanet would be cool MusPlanet not so cool.

Don't take it personally if someone disagrees with you. In many cases disagreeing is the best thing a fellow member can do for you. We're all trying to help others avoid the mistakes we have already made.

I'm a little lame, but felt like chiming in about furniture. Furniture is a loser on the net because its major flaw is delivery. UPS won't touch a sofa and a nationwide trucking company that delivers furniture to homes doesn't exist.

Rooms To Go can successfully be online because it already has a national delivery system in place (their trucks; their employees). This would explain why RoomsToGo is the one and only "cheap" furniture store online. ;)

ran for ovt .com and single term and found 0

dosent negate typein but validates none

still your willingness to share it is admirable and should get you some traffic and make a branding seller happy
