Has anyone else noticed that in the last few days there has been a lot of LLLL.com sales?

They appear to be at end user prices.

On Sedo? I saw a few but wasn't impressed with the letter quality or the prices.

I think domaining overall is starting to pick-up a bit, in-line with the (albeit mixed) economic news coming out.

The economy (hence domaining recovery) still has a long way to go but I think things are slowly starting to pick-up. Hence LLLL.com sales will slowly start to pick up also.

I sold a LLLL.com last week for low $x,xxx

Broker called me on behalf of his end-user.
No negotiation. I just said here is my price take it or leave it.

Made it easy for us both and I think we both made out.

I noticed that too looking through the dnj sales report this week. Some you can see why, others you scratch your head. Other than the premium letters or pronouncables, you just can't tell what will sell in that range. Lots of LLLL for sale in the forum for $xx

Finally other domainers start to realize as well that it is not all about the "close to regfee" xcyz.com llll.com's. This niche will get bigger and bigger by the years.

hugh.com recently for $25,000 and today i see oomi.com for $2100

I do not think this solely an LLLL.com boost... i simply think this market is recovering.

I hope these sales are not the result of a single buyer/domainer who feels like he missed the boat.

Definitely not, you can see similar sales every week, just not this much.

Kate, it takes a simple whois check to see that they are different owners.

Just like crap LLL.com domains are worthless? Oh wait.. ;)

As the internet grows it's only logical that the shorter domains (firstly LLL.coms and then LLL.nets and now LLLL.coms) will grow in value, IMO :)

Makes sense, except that unlike LL/LLL, LLLL are not as good as acronym.

News like this makes me very happy that I've been taking in as many good hand reggies that I can recently. :)

Most LLLL.com's have amazinig acronym possibilities, and let's not forget once an LLL.com is gone (and sooner or later ~all will be in the hands of end-users), companies need to find alternatives. Alternative is to put O as Online in their domain, or I as Inc etc. Let alone that LLLL.com's offer much more pronouncables and brandables than LLL.com's. Krik, dato, lama, bulp...

Many members still consider certain letters as "trash".

Meanwhile, those same members forget that the internet reaches beyond borders.

I have enjoyed some very good private sales for LLLL.com that others would consider junk.

The only time I publish or announce a sale and when I through it up on auction. Private negotiations are exactly that - private.

And yes, I am buying as well.

But PLEASE, enough of the PM's for unsolicited domains.

There are 17,576 combinations and I do not want to own all of them.
