yes, that's fine, but WHY are 3,810,000 results equal $1000 ?????

My story:
I run http://www.strasbourg.info web site and except few own I run no marketing. This site hits FIRST PAGE in altavista and overture for "strasbourg" just thanks to being named strasbourg.info. I got 20 reservations totalling thousends $$$ every week. and strasbourg returns "only" 1,420,000 in google. Is your formula correct then?

bradenton.info ......$1K
cabo.info ...............$1-2k
grandteton.info......$1K
grand-cayman.info...$500
rochester.info.......$3-5K
hastings.info........$3-5K

Having .INFO geo names myself, having sold some and keeping in mind the nature of unsolicited offers I've received over last several months the above-noted sale prices would be my minimum target if I'd these names; and this is from now to next 6-12 months....(obviously "as such"....undeveloped). They're likely to be more down the road. Don't underestimate the potential & value of .INFOs (especially geo) names...Good Luck!

"Don't underestimate the potential & value of .INFOs (especially geo) names...Good Luck!"

I don't know about that, but here is an application that I like for the ".INFO" (as well as .BIZ and .US, too)!! That application IS physical location(s)/geography. These domains could be worth something to these respective areas/cities, etc.
Now, this final point is VERY important! IF you go with, say, "Hastings.INFO" ... it is imperative, in MY opinion, that you ALSO secure "HastingsInfo.com" as well. This will protect your identity and increase the value of your .INFO! Think about it. Good Luck.

Enough is enough with your same'o same'o damn stinking opinion/advice/BS over and over again.....Don't you have any sense at all that repeating the same sh** over and over again is not going to add any weight to your shi**y, moronic, so-called advice. Go think about it if you have any faculty to do so.

I would agree with CoolHost that if you go to the effort and expense of branding a locational website like Hastings.info that a few dollars more to get Hastingsinfo.com would be a wise move. And if the owner of Hastings.com wants reg fee only, grab that one along the way too ;-)

In my opinion dot.info will be up there with com and perhaps .us in the coming years. In relation to places I have the following, any feedback appreciated.

NorthernAmerica.info
SouthernAmerica.info
AmericanStates.info
Kanchanaburi.info - province in Thailand where the River Kwai is
Taipa.info - the island in Macau that is about to get a US casino
Lantau.info - HK airport & Disneyworld island
Wanchai.info - if you've been there you know it!
Europeen.info - no it's not a mistake
Troodos.info - beautiful mountain region in Cyprus

The guy is saying he's making thousends $$$ per week (I'd no idea people can make that much from a "one-man operation" website!!) so by that measure the site should be worth at least over $100K. If that's the case, why another city/metro area name, even if undeveloped, would be 100 times (or more) less than the developed version. I mean if one believes the income he's qouting from the developed (.info) site why would a similar calibre undeveloped name in same tld would be so much less? After all, I have not generally seen this type of discriminatory valuation (developed vs. undeveloped) in .com names; no one in his right mind will say, for instance, store.com developed will be $100K and undeveloped just $1K...especially keeping in mind that the site's developer/maintainer is a single person and it's not an operation like Priceline.com. So am I missing something here?

Cool H, what can I say, its much easier to just say "BINGO" or "AMEN" or just give the same unsolicited advice one hundredth time and show gratitide to those who bestow you with supportive comments. Then there're others who'd just flash thumbs up and down with some $$$ numbers. Its more demanding to take time and expend mental energy to write up something which would have some logic, evidence and reasoning behind it....I guess one can earn a lot more DNF $$ in the former manner....so may be you guys are smarter than one'd imagine. So be happy and go lucky!

I would hope, by now, you'd know me a little better than that, 'Heat. I've said "Amen" all of 3-4 times on this site AFTER leaving in-depth analysis in the same thread. This was my very first "Bingo" (and appropriately so, I might add). Have never, ever used "thumbs" in ANY thread ... and I give spirited appraisals, overall. Let the masses decide.
So, perhaps, one day in the near future, you will review my posts, think about the shallow comments that you just left indicting me of same, and apologize to the person who stands for the very antithesis of what you have (mistakenly) proclaimed!! Thank you for your consideration. Good Luck.
