What's the best way to transfer a domain name to someone else at registerfly?

It seems to push a domain name to another account, you need the password of that account. I'm thinking I'll need to create a third temporary account to avoid sharing passwords.

Has anyone ever asked registerfly to push to a regular eNom account? Did they do it, and if so, how long did it take?

Hey Arb As far as I know, you can't push from Reg Fly to enom. The easiest way at Reg Fly is to create that temp account, push it over and give the new owner the user name and password and he can then push it to his Reg Fly account and tell you when he's done. Then you can change the password again and use that account for future pushes. Doc

They've just got a new feature so the password is no longer needed. You simply enter the new owner's email address, and RegisterFly will email the new owner with a special link. Clicking the link will 'pull' the domain to the new account. I tried it once and it worked.

How did you do it? I just went there and selected "Push Away" and was asked for username AND password.

Below the Push Away check box there's another paragraph with a link. You should read the whole stuff, though that's a bit long ;)

Well, I see this:

-------------------------
Push domains from your account to a NON RegisterFly.com user or third party

This is a new service that allows you to "push" a single or group of domains to an individual who does NOT have a RegisterFly.com account. All you need is the e-mail address of the third party who is accepting the domain names. Upon verification of the third party our automated system will securely and quickly transfer the names from your account to theirs

Push domains from your account to a Non RegisterFly.com user now
-------------------------

Are you saying you used that to push to another registerfly account?

Never mind, I just tested it by pushing a domain name to myself.

It works just as you said. I wonder why they say "NON RegisterFly"?

I have pushed two domain names away from RegisterFly.com to eNom.com. After 'unlocking the name' that I was pushing, the transfer went perfect.

Within hours, the domain names were out of RegisterFly.com and into eNom.com.

Did you do it by requesting a transfer at eNom (like a change of registrar) or by doing something at registerfly?

You begin at eNom.com.

There is a TRANSFER link which guides you.

Once inside your account:

Click: Domain Names

Click: Transfer

Click: Auto Verification

Enter: Domain Name to transfer and enable your option choices.

Click: Submit

eNom.com will Email the current owner an authorization request, which the current owner can approve or decline.

Usually within hours, the transfer is completed.

Very easy - very quick.

However, the domain name must have been with RegisterFly.com for at least 60 days and it must be unlocked.

get it?

quack :D

So it's just like a registrar transfer.
