Is it just me or is the policy of giving out your password to get a name pushed one of the dumbest requirements ever thought of?

Yup, I feel like a moron when I ask for the buyers account password, luckily I don't have many names with them.

Normally I just open a new account up and tell the buyer to go pick it up themselves.

In registerfly you could choose push a name to third party, it doesn't require a password.

Wow, I still think they have one of the best control panels around.. Yep, dont use the password route..go with "push" to an external party..just as fast and no password needed.

I always put the domain into its own account, then just hand over the account to whoever buys the domain. Then, they can either use that account, or push the domain into their existing account.
