Registrar Hold ?

I am chasing a domain the domain in question has just expired a couple of days ago and now its on "registrar hold",what does this mean ? and how long will it be before it gets deleted ?

Advice appreciated thanks !

Assuming it's expired, the registrar will retain that name between 1-45 days
while trying to secure renewal payment for it. If unsuccessful, it'll eventually
have the name deleted.

One exception is netsol. After 35 days of not securing renewal payment, they
will turn over the name to snapnames and see if someone reserved for it.

Thanks for the info Dave,The registrar is with directnic,do you know who generally snaps their domains ?
