Hopefully i am mistaken but they are going to charge to post?

There are other, better ways to generate revenue, that don't piss off your former users, like sell advertising to a related business. Charging people to speak their minds and debate will not go over well.

I don't mind the free registration, but paying for it takes the phrase "as much free speech as you can afford" to a whole new level!

An owner of a forum can do whatever they want with it, but if the "fees for posts" goes ahead, I honestly feel that GregR will be shooting himself in the foot.

Taking a percentage of the profits from the auctions, would be a more successful method of generating revenue.

Its a common misconception that "FREE" speech applies universally. It only applies when the government is involved.

"Free enterprise" gives you the right to set your own rules. Thats true freedom.

Where have you guys been? It's already been done and it has gone over well. The number of people who have signed up for $50 platinum memberships has already hit triple figures. Gold memberships are also solid. You will need a gold or platinum membership to post. It's no longer open for debate. IMO, If particpating in the central gathering place for domain name industry professionals is not worth $15 to you, you should ask yourself how serious you are about succeeding in this business.

It's not CoolHost trick. :)
Nothing personal Cool.

Since the first time you announced paying system, I've already ready to pay. Just that time I disagree on non-paying members can't see ADS Forum, then paying members will not get benefit too as nobody see our 'for sale item'.

Thank you for your welcome Greg. Keep up the good work. ;)
