Hi,
I don't master enough English to feel how good (or not) is this domain, that I recently purchased. It does not seem very much used according to the adwords tool, but still tons of extensions are taken, including some very exotic ones.
Thanks for your comments.

The singular tense is much more popular, but this tense has value as well.

thanks Brad,
that's good news. The last years, I've only been active in the French market, so I'm not able to assess the value of this domain. Any hint?

I am not sure about reseller value, but it does have good end user potential.

Sorry but Energies is definitely a word. "Energies" has 28.5M Google results.

Main Entry: en·er·gy
Pronunciation: \ˈe-nər-jē\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural en·er·gies

699,000 Google results in quotes.
26,800 intitle. 40,500 inurl.

The term is taken in every major extension as well as 57 total domains with the words together and another 18 with a hyphen between them.

This is certainly not even close to a reg fee domain.

sorry holmes, but it's still reg fee imo

either it's energy or it's not, and if it's not energy then it's not renewable

Well, luckily domains are not valued based on your opinion only. This domain clearly has value.
With any minor amount of research it is obvious.

biggedon, what you are stating is ridiculous.
I'm unable to assess its value, but I can see that tons of extensions are taken, with and without hyphen. And we were a few dozens accepting to pay at least a backorder fee for this domain a few weeks ago.

even after you've read others views and knowing what you know, you still are unable to access it's value, yet you are willing to dismiss my comments as ridiculous

but as "bmugford" stated, it's just my opinion :)

if i saw it on a backorder list, i'd pass

though in france or in the french language it may have validity, but for usa, my opinion stands

now if you start getting traffic and some revenue or develop it into something useful, then i'll reconsider

still, i wish you all the best :)

Due to the fact that the word is in plural form (energies) the value drops heavily. The concept however has value and search volume shows increasing usage. The exact search numbers are in the mid xxxx range which is decent. In my opinion this domain would be put to good use as an information site or advertorial site for a related entity. With effort to find the right buyer I'd say fair end user value is mid $xxx to mid $xxxx. Wholesale value is mid $xx to low $xxx.

thanks Biggedon for your thaughts, and webnameking for this limpid explanation,
I've received several mp's, but the appraisal I was asking was just for curiosity (and maybe for more purchases). I intend to develop this domain, as editing energy-related websites is one of my main activities.
thanks
