DN,

That's scary.

Why do the same guys continue to keep getting away with these type of "cons".

Thanks for the info.

PS, You and I finally had some decent weather. It was nice today. And, tomorrow will be better. So, don't go to Columbia Mall tomorrow. Instead, I'll see you tomorrow at Home Depot.

I just got one of those fake messages.

The people get away with it because there aren't enough (if any) people clued up enough about domains and the Internet in the law-enforcement agencies! Something has to be done about that. Some kind of Internet Agency or something made up of some of the cream of the Internet world's experts, who can advise on policies etc., should be set-up to tackle the ever growing stream of cons and scams on the Net.

Just got another one ...I dont understand why they dont just shut them down ?

I am sending the link to neustar..this is ridiculas..they should immediately just cancel the domain.. take them .what.. 2 minutes..

Or is there more to the story considering the story is 3 weeks old ? and the "con site is still up http://domin-renewal.biz ?..

There's actually a warning on the .BIZ registry website (www.neulevel.biz) - it is strange though why they don't just delete the domains, considering them staying up is causing damage to wary consumers (the website gatherscredit card numbers in an unsecure http page).

The domain for this con company is registered to Mel Goudie thru Tucows. I've gotten tons of these notices going back for a long time. Of course Tucows could do something about it as well, but then again they'd have to find where they buried their head.

Doc

I sent them an email Stoc,

This is the type of corporate nonsense that drives me nuts.
I am assuming they wont do it (shut it down) out of fear of being sued...something onlong those lines.

It will take a Lawfirm to study the issue for them, they will provide recommendations, Neustar and or Tucows will have 2 or 3 meetings to decide when to have a meeting to actually discuss the issue etc..

No one has the balls to actually make a decision and pull the plug on the scum...

where is that guy that wanted to steal the spammers domain? :D

I would have absolutely no problem with someone taking it in their own hands and shutting the slime down..
