This was completely unexpected. Bernie Mac died.

It's sad to see him go, he was a good actor and I enjoyed watching him.

it was very shocking news to hear this morning.

One of the "Kings of Comedy"!


back in the early 90's, i used to go down to the "Cotton Club" in Chicago on Monday nights.

Bernie would be a regular there for "open-mike" night.

always telling stories about his own life in such a way that everyone could relate to.


it was only $5 before 6pm to get in and every Monday night the house was packed.

Micheal and Scottie from the Bulls would often slide by, as would other local celebs.


i remember how Bernie and a guy named "Weasel" used to signify about each other's mother in the club all the time, it was totally "off-the cuff" and usually was the lead-off to his stand-up routine.


Thanks Bernie for the memories, and our deepest sympathy go out to your Family!

PS: we will continue to watch the "Bernie Mack Show"

His roles, even though never ones to stand out in the front, were always a great addition to any movie. Al 3 of the Oceans movies, Transformers, etc..
