Well,

It finally happened to me. I bought something on ebay and it never was sent.

I am looking for suggestions for what all I should do about this?

I left the bad feedback, and told paypal, who said after some time, the seller is at fault, but only refunded fifty cents of the $800 paid.

Did he have bad feedback before? Best thing is to contact Ebay first and foremost to get them to suspend his account so it doesn't happen to someone else.

Don't really think their is much more you can do I am afraid.

Maybe get Ebay to give some authorities his home address etc maybe take it from there?

May I ask what made you feel comfortable sending over $800 in the first place? Did he have some REALLY good feedback record or have you done any transaction with him before? Just curious.

Why did they refund you 50 cents? Never heard of that before

If that site is legit, then you should have no problem finding him. Call and demand your "thing" be sent. Send a letter. Call the attorney general. Go to small claims court.

You're LUCKY that you have a good chance of finding the person who defaulted. Those taken by western union scammers in former soviet states have much less hope.
