Thanks for the news. If this report is true, no surprise. A name like that is easily worth $350k and more.

Sounds like David Jeffs is going to be buying a lot more domain names which he will in turn sell for high dollars which will allow him to buy more domain names which will in turn give him boat loads of cash to do the same thing over and over again!!

Now If I can get that first "big" sale of mine going so that I can catch the train :-D

Easier said.

Not because he does not have the budget - But rather because, as we all know, the market is way to saturated with big dogs. He doesn't have the hunger, to seek out and hunt these domains. He expects them to come to his lap, thus, leaving much opportunity for the 'hungry' up and comer. Who will not only find the domain, but find a way to purchase it, and or receive a finders fee from a larger speculator. In addition to this fact - In general, premium domain names on the secondary market, are becoming more and more rare.

When I first started fishing for premium domains, I'd purchase one to three premium five figure domains a month. Now, I am lucky if I see one every two months. These days, everyone has bulk whois mailers - their own capital/backer, and a list of all generic/dictionary words with OVT. Pop it in your bulk mailer, and within an hour, you've filtered through hundreds of end users with great domains.

With each day (imo), I feel it is harder and harder to find reasonable acquisitions.

I thought I would check out Rugby.com to see the progression, but it looks like it's no longer related to the sport. It's being used by Polo; Ralph Lauren for clothing...

*******************************************************

They sold a name to blow the money on salaries and advertising for their other names.

This co. is bankrupt of direction. If you read the filings they typically record the sale as revenue, it should be an asset disposal (they are selling the buildings and furniture and recording it as cashflow). Probably an insider earning a commission on the sale too (again).. Those guys running Communicate are looting the company and mismanaging the small pool of valuable assets they have left. It's a giant make-work project for a few useless staff. Management could make more money for shareholders by firing every staff member and putting the names into PPC. None of the holders of this penny stock have any clue about what's going on there.. Actually I think there's one big holder who either doesn't know or doesn't care.
