Hi,

Just got a letter from: Liberty Names Of America Inc. It Looks Like a "Bill" for renewal of my domain

They list a domain I own and say: I can renew my domain for $29.00 for 1 year,$49.00 for 2 years andf $94.00 for 5 year's....total scam looking letter/bill.

I guess they been at it a while....here is a Google search for them.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=liberty+names+of+america&aq=1&oq=liberty+names+of+a

I realize 98& here know about this kind of crap...but if your kinda of a "newbie"...just rip up their letter.

I guess they hope people are just dumb...or the letter goes strait to someone's accountant or bookkeeper and they just pay it like its an urgent bill....for fear of losing their domain(s)

Its complete BS!

Liberty Names Of America Inc
1623 Military Rd PMB 663
Niagrafa Falls, NY 14304-1745

Peace!
Dan

BTW: On the back of the letter they printed their "domain registration agreement"..... I am not kidding at all...you could not read it with 'binoculars'....maybe a 'telescope' .....honest to God...I have never seen print this "small"....LOL

Nothing illegal about 'brokering' for somebody, but I pity any noob getting stung by them.

My question is: Would the victim have to give up all their account details and leave themselves open to fraud and or loss of their domains, etc?

Thinking from that company's point of view -- they do it only because it is profitable for them. Spam keeps going in zillions because people still respond to it and make it profitable for spammer. And the worst part is that there is nothing illegal about it...

BTW now that you need auth-codes and domain unlocked, how do they manage to transfer the domain?

I'm sure, but don't know it, that if I asked Lord Brar to renew my domains, I would have to give him my passwords, user name, etc, and if I did that, and he was so inclined, I could kiss them goodbye.
I believe any 'takers' of their offer will get ripped of more than the excessive fees.
I'll do my own renewing.
