OK, the .org registry will block a consistent string of checks (like when doing a scan). I'd like to do .org scans but 99% come up as "available" even if they aren't.

I know I can use a proxy for them to help make it more accurate but I've never done this.

How can I? Are there IP addresses I can use or just throw in anything?

Ed,

Are you using 2.1.5? You may need to do a fresh install because 2.1.5 is a major release with the .org issue and many others addressed. It was pushed last week.

It should take care of your "available" bug (which was caused by the PIR changing their whois lookup from pir.org to an IP address).

Thanks,
Luc

Thank you - I had 2.1.4. I'll give the new version a try.

The one in Luc's signature. :)

Edit: 2.1.5 did not help.

I uninstalled 2.1.4 and installed 2.1.5

It shows 75% of the list as available even though many of them are not. I had proxies turned on (but odd how after I check to turn them on and click OK, then I go back in they're off).

Edit 2: I downloaded the free proxy list we'll see how that goes.
