I purchased schmuck.com from NSI in 1997.

It was originally owned as a German Jewelry site 1995-1997.

Schmuck is a univeral word with several meanings.

1) US - dolt/goofball
2) Hebrew - penis
3) German - jewelry

Can you think of another word that means penis & jewelry?

Anyway, what do you perceive that this name is worth, and do you have any suggestions on how to market it or best utilize it.

Sincerely,

Seems like a winner, with several possible meanings and uses. Overture is showing decent search numbers for the word 'schmuck' -- find out what these people are looking for and capitolise on that.

Schmuck.de is a developed site selling jewelry.

My appraisal
$1500 - $2500 to an end user
$300 - $500 to a reseller

It's incredible the number of schmuck jewelry sites... seems like it's the German jewelry standard.

I've tens of inquiries (a hundred maybe) over the years... many in the $2k to $10k range.

It's a very good name - don't see the jewellery connection -but it's worth 3 figures. Good luck with it.

Then you are the right person to appraise it properly.

I think penis piercing site would satisfy all the terms.:D
But seriously, I wouldn't think too long if I had an offer of above
$3000.

Seems like a winner but the spelling (difficulty of) will effect its value. $500

This has always been my favorite name. At the very least I can say that I own the word "schmuck." I'm the envy of every bad comedian.

Argh.

Am I the only one having problems getting www.schmuck.com to resolve?

I have a new hosting company, and I have a feeling that their server just stinks.

This isn't a trick to get you to visit as there is literally nothing to see there. I just want to know if the freakin site is resolving.

Just a little correction on the meaning as I know it from both American and Israeli Jews:

Although I'm Italian, I come from a city (NYC) with a hugh Jewish population.

schmuck is a goofball in Yiddish.

Schmuck doesn't mean 'penis' in Hebrew.

I don't know the correct spelling in Hebrew. I get the pronounciation mixed up with a male Israeli name. So one of the following is 'penis' in Hebrew:

pronounced 'ziun' or 'zeeoon' or it's 'zion'/zeeon'. One of the two. One is pronounciation of an Israeli male name and the other means 'penis'. I learned that by accident. I had mispronounced some guy's name:)
