Hey guys,

Please let me know your thoughts on ScienceWallpaper.com, I just handregged it! Google traffic estimator says there are 3600 monthly searches on the phrase, and 1600 for the plural (which I don't own). Avg CPC only $0.06 though :(

I also just got SFWallpaper.com as I'm a huge science fiction fan. It's got 1300 global searches and avg $0.50 per CPC

I'm planning to develop these as I have with geekwallpapers.com and knifewallpapers.com. Just wanted to get some thoughts on initial value, potential, etc. thanks guys.

ScienceWallpaper.com: Not familiar with popularity of the key phrase but I'm going to appraise mid $xx... could be more if you develop since you are familiar with the subject.
SFWallPaper.com: This makes me think of San Francisco Wallpaper but maybe because I'm biased being in the US.

Thanks for the reply! I think those are both good points, and mix xx is roughly what I expected as the valuation - it's what I'd pay if I wanted the domain, and it's what I've offered for other wallpaper domains in the past (but people try to sell them for $xxx and $xxxx which is just crazy imho, and a sign of what's wrong with this business, but that's another topic ;) ).

Yeah, SF is a more traditional word for sci-fi. the google results are split about 70/30 between sci-fi and san fran for "sf wallpapers". I didn't think of that till later, but hey nevermind!

It's a solid hand-reg and definitely worth the mid XX you estimate.

Thanks, I'm glad you think it's a good 'un. I've been working hard today to compile some content for it and I'm pretty happy now with how it's looking, here's hoping I start to see some traffic soon!

when using the G keyword tool use "exact" results not "broad" once you do this you will see that "science wallpaper" gets 880 global searches a month not 3600.

low XX

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure what you mean? I can't find an option for exact vs broad on the Traffic Estimator here: https://adwords.google.co.uk/o/Targ...000&ideaRequestType=KEYWORD_STATS#search.none

Please advise!

edit: Oh, you mean putting the phrase in quotes? I still get it as 1300 global. And "knife wallpapers" apparently gets 140 and "geek wallpapers" gets 590 and I get >100 visits per day from google on both those domains.

Ah! I see. Thanks, I didn't realise that was the case. Hmm, well it's still got higher search volume than the geek and knife variants, which both still manage to turn a modest profit.
