Lets say I have a two word domain like chevytrucks.com (wish I had it), when you use the Search Term Suggestion Tool at Overture do you type in chevytrucks or chevy trucks. It makes a big difference in the numbers. Which is the more accurate method. And when I get the results, is it the totals for just that phrase or all the terms that contain that phrase that's the most accurate representation.

You should search for "chevy trucks" rather than "chevytrucks" because most people don't type it in as one word into the search engines...

the OT results always return a listing of 'phrases including' your specific keywords.

Type it in this way to get the results ..

chevytrucks.com = 1244

chevytruck.com = 389

chevy trucks = 49.942 .. plural or singular .. makes no difference.

You get what you ask for.
It returns the number of last month's searches for the asked phrase.
If you are trying to make you site better positioned for a search engine, you should consider all options.
You can make optimization of your site for any phrase you want.
Naturaly "chevy truck(s)" was searched much more, but there are also many sites better positioned for that term.
You may consider optimization for "chevytruck" which has substantially less searches, but absolutely no sites with that word inside (hypotheticaly).
In turn you get (much) more traffic with "bad" phrase.
