In GoDaddy example they shouldnt let someone to just type claimed traffic at all since they ant verify it.

Sedo's case is worst imo since someone uses a popular youtube typo and redirect all this traffic to another domain thats has no value and original traffic. Then they let that useless domain to be listed on their marketplace with traffic stats that belong to another domain.
Sedo can identify such cases and even if they couldnt I ve let them know by opening a ticket in their support last November and even though I got an answer that they ll be looking at it but its January of 2001 and they never did anything.

On expired domains listed on tdnam.com, Go Daddy takes about 7 days worth of traffic and extrapolates it out to show over a year worth of stats which they don't have because it is an expiring domain.

Thats what I was thinking of regarding expired domain traffic stats, thanks for the tip.
In my blog post I report some domains found in GoDaddy marketplace like "i-realestate.mobi" which indicates traffic of 200694(I love the detail).
GD shouldnt let theirs users to show any traffic unless they can verify it.
