$850

Not crying sour grapes here but this appraisal seems substantially low.

Can anyone lead me to available 5 letter domain names that have an understandable character structure?

If so I'll take as many as I can get at that price

your comments?

BTW not included in the appraisal of course is the fact that AddPR.com is a 5 year old press release website with a pr of 5 and over 4000 members and is also a Google News Source.

No! I will not sell it for anywhere near the uh emmm appraisal number.

The best source of appraisals is boards such as this one; most paid appraisals aren't from domainers themselves. I think you have a solid name, and did solid development on it. It is a nice that requires some industry insight to value, as well as a knowledge of potential end-users.

thx for the comments and compliments. I recently took it offline because too many people were taking the free trial to the nth degree and making it a lifelong marketing strategy. And I am talking some big companies not just mom and pops.

Seems that IP (intellectually property) and more specifically Internet websites are still not yet recognized as valuable commodities.

Funny how people think. Take cell phones as an example for the most part the industry had to give away the phones to get the monthly subscription. And they will sit and watch the same movie over and over for years but technology sends them running for the hills like a scared rabbit.

My advice to fellow domainers is to buy and hold. Maybe it is the fact that I own 800 domain names or wishful thinking from too many years of hard work choosing and registering names and developing websites but I think that the best years for name holders are yet to come. Maybe 2009 - 2010 or sooner if the recent rash of positive media attention relating to domain names continues.

Totally agree. We can see the pattern by looking at historical sales. We all know that 4 years ago, LLL.com sold below $xxx. Look at it now... at least $5k to $20k.

I think most appraisal services look at the domain name only, they don't care if you have a site or not. My personal opinion is that it is a very generous price for this domain name. I would say that it costs 50$ without development.
Why do you think it cost more?

You shouldn't be upset though. If your site is making a million, all together your company worth that much money, but not becauase of the domain name.
The perfect example is to compare business.com and Yahoo.com. Business.com as a domain name is much more valuable than meaningless google.com and
yahoo.com for instance, but the companies that own google.com and yahoo.com worth a lot more than business.com making google.com and yahoo.com as
domain names worth a lot more than these words should be worth.

$850n is very generous for the domain name only.

I would put it at reg fee - $25.

Obviously more with the development, but apart from that I could reg something better for my purposes.

I think it's worth more actually, great domain and site for press releases.

You need to improve adsense though, I bet it's not performing well now..
Don't use green color on urls, use gray or blue instead and put one parge block into the artice body, that can easily double the ctr :)

AddPR could also be "Add Pagerank" - a huge market
