Sedo Auction system ..why does this happen

Could someone tell me why is this

There have been 4 bids and all from bidder no. 1 ....why would the same bidder bid against himself? I have seen this on quite a few auctions.

Is this self bidding to inflate the price or is there some flaw in Sedo's system ?

The reserve is not met so they raise their bid.
