It appears that Verisign sold it to them
According to siliconvalleywire
"Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, though VeriSign said that it's not material to the company's ongoing operations. No VeriSign employees will be affected."

The big news is that the greatdomains site are going to hold a weekly auction, in response to the competition from TRAFFIC
