It may be just me, but Sedo.com and all my parked pages with Sedo are down.

Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

I've seen this happen a few times in the last couple of days.

Hi Chewychipsahoy,

We weren't aware of any pages being down. Are you still experiencing the same issue?

Thanks,
Monica

Hi Monica

I thought I put a message out about them working again.

For about twenty minutes after my original message, I couldn't access sedo.com
or any of my names directed to sedo.

No big thing, I had noticed it on a couple of occassions the previouls couple of days.

No issues since the message,

Chewy

May 5th - time: 0700 EST - for the past 2 hours, sedo()com, sedo()de and sedo()co()uk have not been resolving for me (I get an 'unable to connect' error). I also periodically try one of my own Sedo-parked domains; but the result is also an 'unable to connect' error.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

****************** ~07:25 EST - everything seems to be working again for me! :) ************************

Hello visine and DNB,

Are you still having issues with our website? I've contacted our technical department to make sure they're aware of the issue.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Hello,

Out of curiosity, do you use AOL as your ISP? If so, please let me know and PM me your IP address so I can pass it onto our tech team for further review. This could be an AOL issue, as they've been known to sometimes block all of Sedo's servers in the past.

Thanks,
Monica

At the time of this issue, the domain info page - that is, the page that is displayed after one clicks on the "More Details" link - would pop up a PHP file that would not be parsed but rather offered for download. This happens quite often, check your PHP settings and installation!

I use AOL to connect from my office and have no access to sedo.com/co.uk or de. I am also unable to access any domains that are parked on Sedo's servers or via sedoparking.com/domain.com.

I wonder what AOL have got against Sedo?

That's shocking news. AOL has several million subscribers worldwide, does this mean we are losing revenue due to AOL blocking Sedo's servers?

PM sent with current IP address.

I doubt that this is universal across the whole of AOL - I am in the UK where AOL's service was bought out by another operator (Carphone Warehouse who have a much ruder nickname) so it's likely that the problem is restricted just to here.

No doubt Sedo will work it out pretty quickly and let us all know when they know ...

Hi Monica (SedoCoUk)

...just following up with (belated) answers to your questions:

1) ISP Provider - I do not use AOL (my provider: Shaw Communications, Canada)

2) Problem Duration - The problem existed in total for 2.5 hours from when I first tried to log on. About 20 min after I made my post here, everything was back to normal (refer to my original post; which I edited after 20 min to reflect that things were again ok).

Hope this helps!
