I have been working with a sedo broker for a month to sell my high profile $xxx, xxxx domain.. agreed to an exclusive agreement in principal (never actually got a contract from them) now after a month they claim they are to busy to take it on.

Does anyone have suggestions for a different broker? I could just go direct (I found the contact info myself) I just figure using a broker gives the large target company comfort with the price if it is a company they trust brokering the deal.

Any suggestions for a good alternative? Target buyer is fortune 50 company.

Try greatdomains.com, moniker.com, or just use escrow.com.

Refer client to dnjournal.com to show that each of these are viable options.

Thanks, I still have not decied if I should switch brokers or just go direct. But
based on the non response from Sedo to email to the broker and Jay, I assume they are just not interested in selling my $xxx, xxx domain.

maybe its only worth xxx,xxx in your mind.

they are not going to turn away a good domain that they have a chance of selling.

either the domain is nothing special, too much work for them, or your expectations are too high.

Their answer is while they belive the price is appropriate given the unique circumstances, they feel their time is best spent on domains whose value is based on traffic. While I think it is an easy sale (I already have contacted the co) As they see it If there is another potential buyer, that is gravy, but they did not want to only work with one potential bidder. I respect that.

What makes the circumstances uniques ... A computer game is coming out and this domain the exact name of the game. I have held the domain since 2002 and hold a trademark to the name. They have just registered the trademark - so legally I am in the clear (if not able to invalidate their trademark). This may not be the case for another buyer. Also, when the game is released, I'm sure the value based on traffic (ppc income) will skyrocket (assuming it's popular) but the way I see it, if I can get my price now it is a win win. The company can market the game under the natural domain (www.gamename.com) and I get my money. If not, I've held it since 2002... I can wait.
