If you received such email, welcome to the club :)

"Dear Sirs,

Unfortunately we had a security issue with PayPal today. To avoid a potential loss PayPal froze all payments informed all customers we have paid by today (2013-03-26) that they believe that the payments may not have been authorized by the PayPal account holder. We can assure you that we definitely sent you the payments. Unfortunately PayPal needs to review the information we provided to them. To finally solve this issue we therefore highly recommend to give a feedback to PayPal telling them that you expected the payment and that the amount paid is accurate. We are also giving the information about the payments we made to PayPal’s fraud team so that they can double check your information with the payments we sent.

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may cause you and thank you in advance for your support on this.

If there is any question left please let me know
"

Made as Sedo suggested, PayPal is keeping silence for now.

This happened to me yesterday, money was put on hold for a domain I sold. I simply put in the Transfer Center before trying to resolve it myself that the money is on a "hold" status and they promptly replied that it was resolved... and my money was there. :)

Coincidentally, it was one name out of about 20 LLLL’s I was selling as a portfolio for $1000 a month or two ago because of a credit card issue and I sold it for $500—I got $400 after their commission though. :veryangry:

What's more painful? 20% or a 1 day hold at PayPal? :?:

I'll take a long Paypal delay ANY DAY over Sedo's most stupid 20% commission for their notorious MLS system

I'll agree on substance as a point to be made but you know the minimum offer Sedo will deliver to you originating in Go Daddy Auctions is $60, in fact NOTHING sells on Sedo at all for < $60, and keep in mind their infamous minimum $50 commission for ANY sale through Sedo, MLS or not, and if all you can get for your name is $60 you're left with 10 meager bucks while Sedo keeps $50, contributing to this distribution of proceeds emboldens Sedo to keep getting away w/this, so unless I was about to let a lousy name expire I simply will not go for it

Biggedon, if you're reading this you'll have a bone to pick w/me...but is a transfer agent worth all that extra commission, really ?.....

I couldn't count the number of people I've taken to Escrow.com with a $25 minimum (or 3.25%, whichever is greater) over Sedo, or I've just directed them to buy it from me on Go Daddy w/a 10% commission or $5 minimum (the higher of the two).... and you should too...... Sedo has a steep learning curve.....
:?:

A $20 offer made via TDNAM/SedoMLS.

Well guys, Sedo External Escrow is not so bad too. 3% but 50 (USD/EUR/GPB) minimum. Plus if you're mostly working with European clients/endusers Sedo is more popular and known among them

Really ? I guess I was misinformed. I had enquired about using Sedo strictly as an escrow service and was told commission was indeed 20%, which kind of made some sense since you didn't use their selling/buying platform which they prefer. Such platform carried a 10% commission circa 2008 and soon after went to 15% (for non-MLS) I guess I should revisit this (External Escrow is that, right ? using Sedo like you use Escrow.com...) .....but with a 3% fee I still do better w/Escrow.com's 3.25% since they have a $25 minimum, while Sedo has $50. Or Go Daddy Auctions, you'll still come out ahead w/them too

Yeah i use it regularly - http://www.sedo.com/us/services/domain-escrow/ -scroll down

But very important thing. Domain shouldn't be listed for sale at Sedo (in that case it would be 15%)

If I have a domain listed at Sedo but I got a buyer outside Sedo, I simply deleting domain from Sedo and starting the external transfer (asking Sedo to start it).
