I have an 87k lyrics database and script for sale, but it's not self-updating. I can quite easily produce updates, but are you guys aware of the DB size these require? I could quite easily go more than 87k on my sites, but that is almost unmanagable already...

Okay, seeing the demand, I am thinking about creating a self-updating lyrics script. The idea is that a central script would scrape several large lyrics sites once a week, and propogate the results to the other sites.

But the updates would have to be on a subscription basis, otherwise I can't keep track of who is leeching of my server, and if it got out of control it would bring the whole update system down.

So how much would you pay for this? I am thinking along the lines of $100 for the script/DB and a $5 monthly subscription for the updates? How many of you would be interested at that price? Let me know your ideas?

Also, would you like user accounts, so that users can submit their own lyrics? Or would you prefer to just receive automatic updates? Obviously with users submitting, you are going to get alot more spam, crap, and duplicate entries, and will have to be more admin/moderating. But it also means you build up a community/contact list. I would be interested in your thoughts.

Put me on the list as well.
I asked for your cheat codes previously.
But, I was in the middle of getting a ded server.
I'll order cheat codes as well as soon as dust settles :)

So, when do you think lyrics scripts will be ready?

How about recipe database & script. You wouldn't have that would you?

Yes, I do have a recipe database & script, although I still have to build up the database a bit, and the script still needs a bit of work, but should be ready soon enough. You can see the basic script in action at:
http://www.cookeryguide.net/
(I haven't done all the SEO work to it yet).

BTW, my current lyrics DB is also online at: http://www.LyricsToTheSong.com/

Mr Domains, Let me know if you back out. If you do, I will create one as a crawler but only if you back out and only if many people are interested because $$$ is worth the time . Dont want to spoil anyones business :)

P.S I have an recipes backend too with 1500 recipes.
