Here are 15 notable sales from NameJet last month.
Domain name auction venue NameJet reported 126 sales of $2,000 or more last month, for a total of about $575,000.
The top reported sale is Selfies.com for $39,088. Here are ten other notable sales that took place at NameJet last month:
Presbyterian.com $12,000 – With nearly 10,000 churches and over 1.5 million members, this seems like a very low price. Then again, how many potential end user buyers are there that would pay this much?
HotKey.com $9,500 – Not to be confused with the HotKeys domain parking service.
FTP.net $8,010 – This domain makes sense with .net. Alas, it was apparently bought as an investment by someone in China.
White.org $7,601 – A solid .org sale.
GreenCars.com $7,000 – The value is in green as in environmental, not green as in the color.
EggDonors.com $6,200 – That’s $1,000 more than the domain sold for a few months ago, but I still think it’s worth more.
Rollershades.com $5,664 – This is a big segment of the window coverings business, and a lot of people shop exclusively for this type of shade.
Pacifiers.com $5,600 – Even though this is usually an inexpensive baby product, a site dedicated to cool pacifiers for hipster parents might just work.
CoolDomains.com $5,500 and UltraDomains.com $2,000 – It’s not every day that you see domains with “domains” in them sell for this much.
Citronella.com $4,600 – Elliot Silver of DomainInvesting.com bought this domain. Nice domain as a product and a potential brand. (I list some citronella just last night for Fourth of July.) People’s ability to spell is the only drawback.
Transgender.comorg $3,433 – A very timely domain name purchase.
PropertyRehab.com $2,400 – This is a perfect example of how wrong some domain registries are on their premium pricing. Rightside, which owns .rehab, has marked property.rehab as a platinum name. That means it’s very expensive. Why would someone pay thousands (or tens of thousands) a year for Property.rehab when they could by PropertyRehab.com for just $2,400?
EarlyAdopter.com $2,222 – What a great name for a tech gadget site. I wish I would have noticed this auction.
