I want also know if there is a software that I can use to manage, monitor , analyze ... domain names .

You can sell a name anytime you want. The only restriction is that SOME (not all) registrars put a 60-day hold on the domain before it can be transferred to another registrar. However, you can still usually transfer the domain to another if they have an account at the same registrar.

Good luck!

I use Excel with the following fields:

- Domain Name
- Registrar
- Expire Date - (Program so the date change color when it is expired within 30 days)
- Created Date
- Purchase Date
- Purchase From
- Cost
- Sold Date
- Sold to
- Sold Price
- Net Profit
- DNS
- Category 1 - Sorting by 2, 3, 4 Letter, Number, .com, .org, .net, SOLD, ......
- Category 2 - Sorting by Industry : Casino, Finance, Develop, etc....

Also depending on how many names do you have (I have over 1,000) - It's a good idea to download the actual list from the registrar(s) and update your Excel File.

Thank you Johnn,
And what if I want to get alerted when a domain name expires. I found a website who does that but seems not working.
Any Idea ?

Use IF condition in the date fields. If it is less then 30 days then turn the color to red or something

spreadsheets that automatically grab info from godaddy, sedo, namebio, etc. takes a bit of time to setup in excel but it's worth it!
