It seems a virus - spyware (or no idea what else it may be) has been recently installed in our Pc and, every time we digit an Internet address (i.e. dnforum.com), we're forwarded immediately on a porn site ... We need to retry 2/3 times before reaching our wished address.

What's happening ? Any idea ? We've just installer Spyware Remover but the problem hasn't been fixed yet :(
Please, give us at least a couple of possible suggestions ...

Suggest also using Norton Internet Security 2003 with its Firewall and anti-virus to limit future problems.

Ok, I can try with Norton 2003 but, may I have problems in case I should decide to uninstall it immediately after ? Damaged files etc ...

No problems that I am aware of and it has saved me many times - I'm not suggesting that it will necessarily resolve the problem you have NOW but I am suggesting that it will help prevent such things in the future.
I would use Adaware to remove any stealth files that are on your pc now and install Norton when you have done that.

Try this, it sounds like a Trojan to me.Free to use for 14 days.http://www.anti-trojan.net/en/:D I got this program on all 4 of my computers and I use it every week to make sure no Trojan gets in. It now has a new upgrade too, that works right in your tool bar too.

Be careful when clicking on the popup message.

You have clicked on 'YES' to install this trojan. ;)

Hi all again and thanks for helping :)

During these days, we tried:

Anti-Trojan (13 trojans deleted)
Adaware (53 suspicious files deleted)
Norton 2003 (2 files deleted)

But, when we digit any web address without its "www", we're redirected on a porn site by that damn mysterious virus ... Today we'll test other softwares and new methods to locate it :(

Check the proxy setting on your browser and make sure it is not set to something.

I've been unable to check proxy settings due to a new problem - many of the most common Internet options are no longer available, another mystery.
When I go on Tools - Internet Options, now I no longer have many of them including Advanced etc ...

I've just reinstalled again Internet Explorer 6 and, magic, problem fully fixed but this didn't work all other times I tried :)

Now I've no problem in digiting addresses without www. even if I no longer have my "Advanced options" :(
