Austrailian company purchased ServCorp.com.
Great end user deal...lucky sale... HUH? I must be missing something.
Whats so great about servcorp.com? Much less why would anyone pay anywhere near that amount for it? Might be able to justify the sale if it was serving.com, service.com, etc. Some solid dictionary word but it isn't.
Just curious why everyone likes this domain.
He/she took a risk and it paid off. 99.9% of the time giving someone that kind of a price for a _blank_corp.com domain name would be instantly rejected. Its impossible to know when it will pay off and when it would result in the loss of a sale. Ah, the mysteries of domaining. Its not the domain that everyone likes, its the deal...
...Its a case of taking a low value domain - and, turning it into a high-value sale.
'ServeCorp', as a name by itself, is probably not worth a lot...
But, the seller found a large Australian company that happens to trade under the name 'ServCorp' - and, persuaded them to pay $75,000 for the domain of their corporate name.
Good piece of domainer business...
