Question of the day:

Should F$ transaction be allowed for TR feedback?

I just want to know your opinion. Yes or No and Why?

The reason being because I got an offer from a member here and he/she has a lot of feedbacks but it turned out that all the feedbacks came from F$ transactions.

I did refuse the offer.

Thanks,
John

There is a difference.

Normal transaction reuired that you have funds from your Paypal or Bank.
F$ transactions required nothing but posting to earn F$.

The reason I turned down the offer because the paypal account is no verified and just created today.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant buying F$ with real $ - not buying names with F$. In that case, no.

No i dont think TR's should be allowed, it could be to easily abused and you could easily get lots of TR's without actually dealing with money.

I am a little confused by what you are asking.

Are you saying that someone contacted you and said I will give you F$ if you post positive feedback?

Or

are you saying if you sell a domain to someone and they pay using F$ you do not think that TR rating should apply?

This guy/gal has been here since Feb/2007 and has a lot of feedback (F$ transaction).
He made an offer on several names ($xxx total) and asked me to send him/her a Paypal invoice.
I checked the Paypal email and found out that the paypal account is not verified as it was created yesterday with no prior transaction. I sent an email asking why the paypal is created yesterday and did not get any reply.

I turned down the offer anyhow.

How can we propose to DNF so to make it a rule not to allow TR feedback for F$ transaction?

John

If you use F$ for any type of transactions then you should not be allowed to give or receive TR feedback.

Good looking out.

Verified Paypal accounts only exist in the US, Canada and UK. Maybe France as well.

I don't know if there are any difference in what they mean by "verified", but my account has always had the status "Swedish - Verified" (Business account)
In my business I have thousands of transactions from users all over the world, and almost all of them have "verified" accounts, according to PayPal. (There seems to be two kinds, "US -Verified", and "Non-US - Verified". The same no matter which Non-US country they are from)
It's possible to deny payments from unverified accounts, but in my regular business the transactions amounts aren't very high.

They are allowed beause they are deals that happen on the forum, and the TR system does not scan the thread to see what was used to pay. So... yes.

Sorry, I was talking about "confirmed address". This is only available in the US, UK and Canada. Verification entails adding a bank account.
