I have a firm offer of $2200.00 for my blog/website JewishVoice.com. It is a PR5 and gets about 200 uniques a day. I don't make much from google adwords, just a couple of bucks a month. Is it a fair price?

Thanks!

I would sell as well, because $2,200 is a good price for your domain regarding
its revenue. But if that was the buyers very first bid then it's possible that
you can get him increase his bid by making a good counter offer. It's now on
you to decide whether you can accept the risk or not. Good luck with selling
your domain successfully!

it's not all in the amount necessarily. it also depends how much do you care about that blog, how much time do you spend on it now, and how much time/money/effort/sweat have you invested in it to take it where it is now.

---

i just checked your site and it appears to have extensive content + it's PR 5 as you've said, so the traffic will be on the rise. also, domain was registered five years ago; besides, just as a domain >jewishvoice< by itself is worth that much, if not more, imho.

so, i wouldn't sell it for nowhere near that offer. maybe i would sell a domain alone, or a site content -- but not both.

the problem with this domain is that jews tend not to be opinionated. so they dont really have a "voice".

The real question should be - if you're getting 200 uniques per day why are you only making c$2 per month? I wouldn't sell until you rectify that problem.

You should be able to earn a lot more than $2/month.

Try to properly monetize your blog first before selling it.

I disagree with others above. I think this is an excellent domain, and certainly worth more than $2200. If the offer was from an end-user, I would say you could get double to triple that amount. I also disagree with draqon above, that the term Jewish Voice right now is very apropos, despite his prejudices about the outspokenness (or lack thereof) of the Jewish people. The voice of the Jewish people on such vitally important matters as occupation, disengagement, right of return, aliyah, as well as the numerous other worldwide issues affecting Jews and Palestinians alike is a very hot topic right now. Bottom line, I think you should hold out for more, or hold onto this domain and market it more effectively so that you can continue to make a statement to the world through your site.

On the basis of...

a) This is a hot topic, as discussed above. For anyone interested in Israeli politics and the Middle East, I would say this is a very valuable domain, and possibly worth around $5000.
b) The domain is brandable, and . And end-user may be emotionally attached to the name. The buyer may even be one of the numerous organizations and publications using this phrase (see http://www.google.com/search?biw=1379&hl=en&q="jewish+voice")
c) In general, most end-users offer around half their actually price, and you can sometimes work them up even higher, again, since they are often emotionally involved.
d) It's just my opinion. I don't really NEED a basis for an opinion, now do I? :cheeky:

i think that price is fair, especially when considering its revenue

try to do some background research on the buyer, would be terrible to sell to the wrong party

Am I missing something? jewishvoice.com has no PR and is parked at GoDaddy.

what?

********

why ask others so publicly, when the buyer could be a potential member here.

their opinions could sway, both yours ......and the potential buyer's decision to buy or sell.

I'd get him to come up more on the bid. You should give him a counter of mid $x,xxx and chances are he will go up.
