It all depends if they offered this amount first...then you should make a counter-offer. If this was the case counter with $1000 and see what happens. I would let it go for $450 if the buyer won't budge.

Yep $450 was what they suggested when I said "make me an offer".

Is "bum" a common term in the US? I guess it usually refers to vagrants and homeless people, but in the UK and Australia it usually means your bottom (ass, butt).

I know there's been a lot of controversy over the bumfight videos.. (www.bumfight.com)..

Hmm..

Unless I have the .com, I would not pay too much for the .net.

Do a WhoIs and see if they own the .com version...if they do, stick with $1,000.

Beachie -

If this were my name, I would be around $750 - $800.

$450 shows that they are interested and are serious about getting the name. I would emailthem and say "My target was about $1000, but I would split the difference with you at $750." Make sure you point out the free and immediate transfer. Also, offer to add another year of registration to the name for them . . . Hopefully that will get them over the edge.

Good Luck !

Yeah, I agree with Bob. Try to push for a little more.

But if it were me, and if push came to shove, I would settle with $450. It seems like a fair price.
