Yesterday I took a letter for one of my domains.

The email is from a wholesaler and it says that one of their customers wants the name that was once they were using and asks if it is possible. And wants me to contact and price the domain if I want to sell it.

The domain is a typo of the industry related term. ( for example dentalplan - dentalclan)

Should I be alarmed that they are mentioning that they were once the owners of the domain ? Or is this ok ? (I don't know whether or not they were the previous owners).

I am planing to price the domain around 2xxx.

ask for $3500, if they are interested in buying

however, be sure to note that you had plans for development.

It could be developed. Dentalclan.com - a clan (small group) of dentists looking for internet presence, maybe even one head dentist with several satellite locations. I'd say it has potential.

IMO its not a really good typo since P and C are almost as far away form each other as you can get on a keyboard and P is 7 while C is 2 three times on a mobile phone.

I don't think the domain is really dentalclan - I think the OP used that as an example of the kind of typo in the real domain.

True , dentalclan is an example.Childcare and childvare can be better examples , because of the first term it gets some traffic and a little revenue.
But since the first term is a generic domain the typo is not like doogle and does not have a risk from that side.

My worry was since they mentioned being the previous owners of the domain , I did not wanted to write something risky.

I don't think the domain is really dentalclan - I think the OP used that as an example of the kind of typo in the real domain.
