I'm curious to see what the domaining demographic feel on about salvia divinorium being banned everywhere? There's about a handful of states in the U.S that has it banned and about the same amount of countries. The hallucinogenic effects are almost as powerful as lsd and it is the strongest hallucinogenic herb that we currently know of. The media has been making a lot of fuss about it lately. I personally think it ought to be controlled but not banned... say restricting it to those 18 and up.

Well, unlike other forms of sage, divinorium doesn't have any medicinal or culinary properties...
Considering it's potential to cause a psychotic episode, the fact that you can't actively measure the strength of the batch, and that it doesn't seem to have any positive side effects unlike say certain strains of marijuana, I can understand why it is illegal.

That said, tobacco is legal and has no medicinal properties either.

IMO, I think if a drug has medicinal properties, it should be regulated by the FDA or similar body, and ensured to be of a certain quality and then sold. Preferably on a prescription basis.
If it simply trips you out, then it should be decriminalized, but not legal per se.
