Nothing worse than making a new site, then check it in FF, Safari, Chrome etc and it works great... then in IE it's all blown to shiet. Only if everyone got rid of it.

The issue is that the people who write the viruses and other exploits do so to affect the most number of computers possible which is why most go after PCs running IE.

Most of us here have web sites - check your stats. Unless it is based on a different technology or on a non-IE niche (graphic designers, Linux users etc..), I'm willing to bet the vast majority (at least 70%) of your traffic is a PC using Internet Explorer.

If a lot of people stop sing IE and say a large number go over to FF - if it's significant enough then these writers will start writing their malware for FF also - and the same goes for Mac.

Switching from IE will only delay the inevitable.

If the text didn't look so crappy with FireFox, I'd be using it.

Ditto. Ever since I discovered FireFox perhaps 5 or 6 years ago, I have never used IE on personal computers.

I used to infuriate the IT staff at work because I would download it on every PC, Laptop, or whatever I could get my hands on.

FireFox recently had an update and it is faster.

However, I also like Safari and iGoogle (Chrome).

Firefox users, try Opera if you didn't. I'm using it for 4 years almost and I'm really satisfied.

I think it haves a better interface, faster loading time and has everything else important built in just like firefox. Rendering problems are almost all gone it's not a big deal anymore and I don't remember when I've stumbled upon a rendering issue in the past 2-3 years.
