Is it ok to have a generic .com that offers same services or products of say a plural domain or even a domain hack?

Example:(Plural) Dogs.abcdefg sales dog food & Dog supplies .... (Single) Dog.abcdefg sales Dog food and dog supplies ; Do.gs.abcdefg (Domain Hack) also sales dog food and dog supplies

Lets pretend Dog.abcdefg has a trademark and Dogs.abcdefg & Do.gs.abcdefg (Domain hack) does not have trademark

Could Dogs.abcdefg and Do.gs.abcdefg (domain hack) have possible legal issue or be set up for trouble from dog.abcdefg?

Opinions, thoughts, comments, Experiences?
Much appreciated

Do you really think it's worth the risk of getting fined for thousands or millions of dollars, or getting a UDRP, when there are so many other business opportunities that don't have possible trademark issues? That's my thinking-- avoid it and choose to develop another website, no need to take the risk. Too many other options.
