about 90% of the posts have only one or few lines of text but the space they use is always high due to the left space with the nickname, avatar, etc.

this design makes all threads longer and slower to read

so, my suggestion is to shorter the left space or to put the same info on the top of the forum posts, horizontally

this way, the old and new threads become shorter and faster to read

sometimes, we call ourselves reading the post/reply, but how often is the true intent grasped or the advice followed or the sales/domains wanted criteria adhered to

maybe it will help

;)

You could throw some of the postbit horizontally, but nah... I don't like change.

Hated it when this design came out, say 3 years ago? It was slow as hell, but I had ISDN at the time.

I don't mind the extra space, but you could use a browser extension such as FoxReplace to "customize" things to your liking ;) There also might be some greasemonkey scripts already created for vbulletin. Isn't there a mobile friendly skin/theme for vbulletin?
