Every time I load the dnforum.com home page, my firefox browser grinds to a complete halt. Sometimes it takes over 40 seconds to respond again. This happens *every* time I load dnforum with a newly opened browser.

I suspect it's chugging on one of the ads..

Anyone else? it's so bad I have to make it a point to skip the front page.

BTW I'm using firefox on a DSL line, other pages are fine.

I can't even go to DNF on some of my school's computers. And they've got great computers and a very fast connection. The site just freezes up.

Yes, this is a reported problem, it's hanging on the banner ads. I will report this again.

School computers have IE. I have to reboot the computer if I have a problem because I can't get to Task Manager.

Yes ... too much ads on this forum.
Sometimes I have to drink my coffee first before I can see the whole main page.

Cheers,

DNF should serve the bannerpages.com ads from the dnforum.com domain - since they control both ... why not ... and doing so would likely eliminate much of the loading problems folks are complaining about; added benefit for DNF of serving ads from the same domain is they're more difficult to block ... a win, win situation for both visitors (faster page loading) and for DNF (more real ad views).
